3M™ Venture Tape™ Aluminum Foil Tape 1521CW is a conformable, 2.8 mil tape that is suitable for masking and sealing in general-purpose heat shielding and light-reflecting applications. Coated with cold-weather acrylic adhesive, this durable tape performs well in a wide range of environmental conditions, and bonds and seals at temperatures as low as -10 deg F (-23 deg C). It is backed by foil that allows it to easily conform to irregular surfaces and on fibrous and sheet metal ductwork. This pressure-sensitive tape is hand tearable and adheres quickly without special application methods or additional tools. It maintains its form without lifting or curling, even after an extended period of time. This tape meets the UL723 flame/smoke rating, as well as the CAN/ULC S102 classification flame/smoke rating.
